Wildlife - There is no better spot to view wildlife than at Wagonhammer RV Park and Campground. Whether you stay onsite or venture into the many trails and state parks in the surrounding area, you might see bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk, deer and moose. There are also various species of birds and waterfowl, including Clark's Nutcracker and the Red Monkeyflower. Whether you enjoy photography or just enjoy nature through binoculars, you are almost guaranteed to see some beautiful animals.

Rock Hounding - The area is brimming with unique gems and stones, including petrified wood, gold, opal and agate. There are dozens of collecting sites within an 80 mile radius, or you can stay in the campground and pan through Montana Sapphire gravel for a unique souvenir.
White Water Rafting - The convenience of being directly on the banks of the Salmon River provides unique opportunities to enjoy white water canoeing and rafting. Bring your own boats or rent them from a local outfitter. White water rafting is also available in North Fork, with trips ranging from easy to difficult with various prices.
